August 6th Common Thread Gathering

Our August 6th meeting will begin at 7pm, as usual, with our meditation, a monthly astrological reading from Cathy Lindsey, and a few announcements followed by our speaker.

This month our speaker is Kevin Thoren. Kevin will discuss the Vortexes, how he got the information 2 years ago, and how NOW is the time to bring attention to them and allow us to benefit from the energies. He will also talk about the additional information he has received since putting up the You Tube Videos on the Vortexes. It is truly an exciting time!

Kevin brings passion, expertise, and a great sense of humor to Inner Prosperity. Kevin is a licensed massage therapist. He also offers healing through Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, and Trigger Point massages. Kevin is a Reiki Master and also uses Spiritual Response Therapy, EFT and Raymon Grace Techniques to help others heal. Kevin is also a passionate practitioner of CranioSacral Therapy. CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on healing method of unblocking energy from the top of your head all the way down your spine to your tail bone. It supports you in feeling better and more alive.

Kevin recently became a graduate of Johnathan Parker's School of Enlightenment completing over 300 hours of class work.
He began his deliberate spiritual journey 5 years ago and have had many wonderful experiences, one of them was being shown the Central Iowa Vortexes over 2 years ago.
Kevin grew up in Des Moines and has lived in Iowa all his life. He loves gardening and the outdoors. He has participated in various men’s groups over the years. He has a son, two daughters, and two grandchildren.

Concerning Yogis living at at 6,000 feet to be above the mass consciousness....

In Yogananda's book, The Autobiography of a Yogi, as a child he continually tried to run away to the Himalayas to find a yogi to study with. Finally, his father found the young boy a yogi near his home. His yogi, then told the anxious child to go to his bedroom, that would be his Himalayas.
(I have shortened this--if you read the book, this section is very funny.)

Yogananda lived in India and California, forming several schools, and much more in his lifetime.

My feeling is, that the true yogis (wise man and women) of truest service are amongst us.
